Should I pay on the first date?

Call me old fashion , ladies.  You should not pay when out on a date.  That’s the general rule of thumb.  Be okay with relinquishing control and let the man be the man. Make it a habit to never poking your nose someone else’s finances.  He’s an adult and if he asked you on a date let’s assume he can afford the location of his choice. There’s no need to ask to pitch in on the bill. However, you should always be prepared to pay your portion if needed.

Who asked who?

Now here is where my own personal old fashionism gets thrown out the window.  We aren’t in Kansas anymore Dorothy!! There are occasions when you have or will suggest the date. I say this is when you should be fully prepared to pay.  And if he asks to foot the bill? Say yes.

Your intuition trumps my advice.
